Stay alert to fire risks with the Vanemar boat smoke detector and boat fire alarm system. The easy-to-install, battery-operated smoke detector quickly alerts you through a loud alarm and the Vanemar app, providing smoke detection in engine rooms, cabins, and galleys.
You cannot always be aboard. You can still be informed.
Whether you are spending the night on the boat or leaving it at the marina, smoke detection gives you a reason to act when something needs attention.
Detect smoke before you see it.
Photoelectric sensing uses light to detect smoke particles inside the detector. It keeps watch in the interior space where you install it.
Make the warning heard.
A powerful built-in siren draws attention to detected smoke, helping people aboard recognise that something needs checking.
Bring the alert ashore.
When no one is aboard to hear the siren, a notification on your phone lets you know the boat needs attention.
A WARNING THAT REACHES BEYOND THE BOAT
Know about the alarm while there is something you can do.
A siren can warn the people nearby. Connected smoke detection also reaches the person who is away from the boat, so they can arrange the next step.
01WHILE YOU ARE AWAY
An empty boat should not mean an unheard alarm.
You may be at home, at work or on your way to the marina when smoke is detected. Vanemar sends the event to your phone, helping you contact someone nearby and arrange an appropriate response instead of waiting until your next visit.
02TECHNOLOGY WITH A PURPOSE
Confidence backed by recognised smoke-alarm standards.
Photoelectric smoke sensing and a loud onboard siren are backed by UL 217 and CAN/ULC S531 compliance markings. A compact design brings that warning capability into your boat’s interior, while Vanemar adds the connection to your phone.
Photoelectric detection of smoke particles.
An onboard alarm rated at least 85 dB at three metres.
Smoke alerts alongside your other boat updates in one app.

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE
What would you like to know?
01
What do I need for alerts when I am away?
Pair the detector with a Vanemar Gateway, keep the Gateway online and activate Connect. Allow Vanemar notifications on your phone and check your alert settings during setup.
02
Can I add it to a system that already has sensors?
Yes. Pair it with your existing Gateway rather than buying another hub for this detector. Include it in your sensor count: one Gateway supports up to 20 wireless sensors directly.
03
Can one detector cover my whole boat?
Plan a detector for each separate enclosed space you want to monitor. Follow the installation guide and check the operating limits for each location, especially near cooking equipment or an engine space.
04
Does adding this detector cover carbon monoxide too?
No. Add a dedicated compatible carbon monoxide detector for that hazard. Keep smoke and CO devices clearly named so their alerts can be distinguished.
