01BUILD YOUR SYSTEM
Choose your hardware and build your system.
Every Vanemar system starts with one Gateway, the main hub. The same setup works for any type or size of boat and expands around your needs.
Choose what you want to monitor, such as cameras, batteries, bilges, smoke, doors and more.
02INSTALL AND PAIR
Place the hardware in the right locations aboard.
Connect the Gateway to your boat's battery and place the wireless sensors where they are needed. Then follow the instructions in the mobile app to pair each sensor with the Gateway. Self-adhesive mounting strips make the wireless sensors easy to position.
Note: Professional support is available for installations that require electrical or boat-data connections.
03ACTIVATE CONNECT
Activate a Vanemar Connect subscription and start monitoring remotely.
Download the Vanemar app, add the Gateway to your account and purchase a Vanemar Connect subscription in the app. Connect is the connectivity and remote-monitoring service sold separately from the hardware. The subscription activates the global data connection built into the Gateway, so you do not need a separate Wi-Fi network or internet service aboard.
While the Gateway is powered and within cellular coverage, you can check your boat's status in the app around the clock and receive instant notifications when a sensor detects an important change.

It is the heart of the system. It collects data from wireless sensors and, with an active Vanemar Connect subscription, sends it to your app through its built-in global SIM.

Wireless Vanemar Sensors

Choose the bilge, battery, smoke, entry, motion and other sensors that match the risks you want to monitor. To view data from onboard systems such as engines and tanks, add the appropriate NMEA 2000 adapter for your boat.

Vanemar has four connected layers. Raw data from your boat is collected by the Gateway, sent to the Vanemar Cloud and turned into a clear status you can understand on your phone.

SENSOR LAYER
Changes aboard become useful data.
The Battery Sensor measures voltage; the Water Sensor detects when water reaches the alarm level; and entry sensors, motion sensors and cameras pick up unexpected activity. Each sensor records the measurement or event it is designed for and sends that data to the Gateway.
GATEWAY LAYER
Vanemar Gateway is your boat's data hub and its link to the outside world.
The Gateway gathers sensor data in one place and prepares every reading as a single data stream for the Vanemar Cloud.
CONNECT + CLOUD LAYER
Vanemar Connect provides remote connectivity.
An active Vanemar Connect subscription enables remote access through the global data connection inside the Gateway. The Gateway sends data to the Vanemar Cloud, which processes the current status, historical readings and alert rules.
MOBILE APP LAYER
Your phone connects to the cloud through Vanemar Connect.
The Vanemar app uses the cloud to show your boat's latest status, historical data and any alerts. When an alert is triggered, the event is sent through the cloud to your app.

You do not need onboard Wi-Fi, a separate SIM card, a modem or another data plan.

Vanemar Connect is the connectivity and remote-monitoring service that keeps your system online while you are away from the boat. The subscription includes the global data connection inside the Gateway, access to the Vanemar Cloud, live and historical data, and instant notifications. There is no need to arrange a separate data line, mobile operator or internet plan.
