METS 2025 Highlights: Smart Boating Meets Intelligent Innovation
This year’s METSTRADE Show once again brought together the global leisure marine industry under one roof at RAI Amsterdam, and Vanemar was proud to be part of it.
From November 18-20, professionals from across the marine world gathered to explore the latest technologies shaping the future of boating and our booth at #03.440 was right at the center of it.

A Memorable Year at METSTRADE
METSTRADE 2025 was more dynamic than ever, spanning 13 exhibition halls and welcoming thousands of visitors, builders, and technology leaders from every corner of the industry.
At our booth, visitors experienced the complete Vanemar Smart Boat Monitoring and Control Ecosystem, including our latest updates for the Vanemar Gateway, NMEA 2000 Boat Adapter, AI-Assisted & Voice-Activated Yacht Automation, and Fleet Dashboard.
Our live demos showcased how easily boat owners and fleet operators can monitor every aspect of their vessels from power systems and bilge levels to onboard temperature, security, and more all through the Vanemar App.
Spotlight on AI-Assisted Boating with Sirena Yachts and Garmin
One of the biggest highlights this year was the presentation of our new AI-assisted and voice-controlled owner experience, developed in collaboration with Sirena Yachts and EmpirBus by Garmin.
This new system integrates:
- AI-powered natural language processing
- Vanemar’s cloud-based monitoring and intelligence platform
- EmpirBus by Garmin’s digital switching technology
Together, these layers allow yacht owners to manage onboard systems through simple voice commands or app interaction; making navigation, comfort, and safety features more intuitive than ever.
Visitors were able to preview the technology at METSTRADE and learn how it will first become available as an optional factory feature on Sirena models starting in late 2025.

Vanemar Listed as a Short Stronglist in the 2025 Boat Builder Awards
We were honored that this collaborative project with Sirena Yachts and Garmin was recognized internationally and selected as a Short Stronglist in the prestigious Boat Builder Awards 2025.
The project was nominated in the category: “Collaborative Solution Between a Boat Builder and Its Supply Chain Partner.”
This respected category highlights the most innovative partnerships between global yacht builders and technology providers. Among 34 shortlisted companies, Vanemar stood out with a project that brings artificial intelligence into yacht production at a scale the industry has not seen before.
AI-Powered Voice Control for the Next Generation of Yachts
The shortlisted system blends:
natural language AI
Vanemar’s cloud intelligence layer
EmpirBus by Garmin’s digital switching platform
This integration allows yacht owners to control lighting, climate, sensors, power systems, and more through voice commands or the mobile app.
Every installation is configured automatically based on each yacht’s build data, ensuring accuracy and operational safety.

offline operability for reliability anywhere in the world
A Milestone for the Global Yacht Industry
Industry analysts note that voice-controlled AI assistants, now common in automotive; are only beginning to enter yachting.
This collaboration marks one of the first large-scale integrations of AI-assisted, voice-controlled interaction into serial-production yachts, making it a significant milestone for the sector.
